A lot of women, especially mothers, wonder if a short hair cut for girls is the way to go. From a mother’s perspective, giving a young female child a short haircut is the best way to go because it means less fighting when it comes to having the hair done. It is shorter, which makes it easier to wash, dry and style, and generally causes a lot less fuss from the child.
There are some children that do not enjoy taking care of their hair and spending the time that is required on the hair. For this type of child, it is important to realize that short hair doesn’t have to be passé, there are many modern styles for children that are beautiful, but also those that are easily manageable, especially if dealing with a child that has hair prone to tangling.
From the average woman’s perspective, short hair really depends on what looks good with one’s face shape. For thinner women with thin faces, short hairstyles would work best because they do not make the face look thin and lanky, rather beautiful and well portioned. For women with a little more on their bones, and round face shapes, short hair may be considered a huge no as it tends to make it look bigger than it actually is.
As with all haircuts, face shape is a huge key factor on whether or not that style would look nice on a client or not. If unsure about a new hair cut (especially if one has hardly ever cut their hair), ask the hairstylist to see what he or she thinks.
